MARS & GARETH.T BLEND GENRES TO RELEASE “MOVED ON” WITH UNITED MASTERS

September 4, 2020 - Berklee College of Music students MARS and Gareth.T get ready to release “Moved On”, laying groovy R&B vocals over complex electronica production in a way that wouldn’t be expected by listeners. This relaxed, downtempo track is perfect to accompany the transition from summer to fall, available on all platforms HERE.
“Moved On” showcases MARS and Gareth.T’s individual artistry, a display of great things to come for both acts. MARS skillfully produced this track with a mixture of sounds like rain, vinyl noise and falling leaves to create an ambience around the jazz inspired chord progression and flowing vocal chops from Gareth.T. Although the sonics all lean toward a relaxed ambience, the chorus has an element of grit and anger to it, and reflects Gareth.T’s lyrics about how it’s not so easy to move on from one’s ex. Hopefully fans can find comfort in the fact that they are not the only ones experiencing feelings about or reminders of their past relationships.
Raised between Milan, Italy, and Philadelphia, PA, MARS started taking his first steps into music as a jazz guitar player. Creating music has been his way of building on these different cultures to bend genres in unique ways that haven’t been done before. He is now an Electronic Production and Design Major at Berklee College of Music and hopes to emanate electricity and bounce through his music. His recent releases “Fall (feat. Lis)” and “Stupid Happy” have amassed hundreds of thousands of streams.
Gareth. T is currently based in Boston while studying at Berklee College of Music with MARS. Gareth. T draws influence from 80s/90s R&B, and combines it with more modern elements like drums and 808s. This year, Gareth. Thas been releasing a track a month, starting off September with “Moved On”. In June, Gareth. T released his first single “best me i can” with the Singapore-based indie label Umami.
