APRIL 20, 2021 - Emerging Berklee College of Music artists, brompton and Ceptemba, combine pop and trap sounds in their unique new single “Memory Juices”. This 4/20 release melds bouncy beats with an equally spontaneous message urging listeners to be impulsive, act off genuine wants for yourself, and bask in the light of your ‘memory juices’.

This collaboration follows the duo’s track “Stupid Happy”, which has amassed a quarter of a million streams,  as more ear candy for listeners. Structurally, the artists defy traditional song format with “Memory Juices”, which is exactly their point.

“Chorus-verse-bridge-chorus is a very rare form for songs. brompton and I knew we wanted the story to dictate the movement, so we didn’t feel any need to try to ‘fix’ it to the standards we were taught at school” - Ceptemba

For the listener, “Memory Juices” serves as a mind map of sorts. The song is in the present, yet the verse is a flashback with the bridge flashing forward to the year 2030, until the song ends back in the present with the message that there’s still time to act in the moment. These artists leave a ton of minute intricacies in the track such that fans can pick up on something new every time they listen to it. brompton and Ceptemba certainly don’t fit in one genre box, so this new tune has a little something for everyone.

ABOUT BROMPTON: Raised between Milan, Italy, and Philadelphia, PA, brompton started taking his first steps into music as a jazz guitar player. His recent releases “Faded” & “Moved On” have amassed hundreds of thousands of streams.

ABOUT CEPTEMBA: Named after the season he was born in, Ceptemba embraces his eclectic background and unique upbringing that reflects in every aspect of his life, especially when it comes to his music. ”Slave blood, Mayan Blood, con Native American. From a split home, became an army brat, a nerd, but the life of every party.” For Ceptemba, being the weirdo in life isn’t something he role-plays, It’s a leading role. “I learned People are front-door or back-door thinkers. I prefer the chimney.” His popular releases include “Stupid Happy”, a previous collaboration with brompton.
