February 12, 2021 - Berklee College of Music peers brompton and Eric Abel release “Faded”, a party house track with electric vocal chops and deep bass, available on all platforms HERE. The track will be released alongside a lyric video (see here) and a TikTok campaign challenge, where the winner will win a custom-made “Faded” denim jacket (see here).
“Faded” showcases brompton’s creative production and Eric Abel’s unique vocal tone and fluctuating melody, a display of their individual artistry and great things to come for both acts. brompton skillfully produced the instrumental around Eric’s writing by combining guitar and synths to create a nice harmonic bed for the vocal. The chorus melody makes up the vocal chops heard in the drop combined with a deep base, popular in modern day house tracks. This release follows brompton’s fall single, “Moved On”, featured on the NBA-curated playlist Base:Line.
Raised between Milan, Italy, and Philadelphia, PA, brompton started taking his first steps into music as a jazz guitar player. Creating music has been his way of building on these different cultures to bend genres in unique ways that haven’t been done before. He is now an Electronic Production and Design Major at Berklee College of Music and hopes to emanate electricity and bounce through his music. His recent releases “Moved On” and “Stupid Happy” have amassed hundreds of thousands of streams.
Eric Abel is an Atlanta native singer and songwriter. A former Berklee College of Music student, Eric has been working on his craft for over a decade, taking musical influence from both longtime greats like Ed Sheeran all the way to more recently acclaimed artists like 6lack. He has demonstrated his versatile nature with tracks like “Want Me Too”, an emotional dark pop record, all the way to songs like “Two Young Kids”, which carries a nostalgic EDM tone. Abel hopes to soon be a part of the next generation of top-liners challenging the norms of pop music and moving the genre into the future.
